  2. It's 1/4 tsp of salt.
  3. You need 1/4 tsp of turmeric powder.
  4. It's 1/4 tsp of ted chilli powder.
  5. It's 1/4 tsp of coriander powder.
  6. Prepare 1/4 tsp of jeera powder.
  7. It's 2 of tamarind - large pinch.
  8. You need As needed of oil.
  9. It's 2-3 tbsp of semolina.

Elephant Yam Fry step by step

  1. First wash the yam & cut off the outer layer of the yam. cut the yam into 1/4 inch thick slices.wash and keep them aside drain the excess water..
  2. Meanwhile soak tamarind in warm water & prepare thick extract.
  3. Now add the salt,turmeric powder, red chilli powder,coriander powder, jeera powder and tamarind extract to mixing bowl or plate & mix to get a paste..if the mixture is too thick then sprinkle some water to achieve the right consistency..
  4. Now add the yam to the paste & marinate for 5 minutes.
  5. Then heat a tawa,sprinkle oil...deep this yam with semolina..coat form both the side..roast them on a medium-low flame until u get golden brown colour..keep flipping at regular intervals.
  6. Serve hot as a side or as an appetizer.
