Ingredients of Elephant Yam Fry
- It's of Elephant yam -10 larg size.
- It's 1/4 tsp of salt.
- You need 1/4 tsp of turmeric powder.
- It's 1/4 tsp of ted chilli powder.
- It's 1/4 tsp of coriander powder.
- Prepare 1/4 tsp of jeera powder.
- It's 2 of tamarind - large pinch.
- You need As needed of oil.
- It's 2-3 tbsp of semolina.
Elephant Yam Fry step by step
- First wash the yam & cut off the outer layer of the yam. cut the yam into 1/4 inch thick slices.wash and keep them aside drain the excess water..
- Meanwhile soak tamarind in warm water & prepare thick extract.
- Now add the salt,turmeric powder, red chilli powder,coriander powder, jeera powder and tamarind extract to mixing bowl or plate & mix to get a paste..if the mixture is too thick then sprinkle some water to achieve the right consistency..
- Now add the yam to the paste & marinate for 5 minutes.
- Then heat a tawa,sprinkle oil...deep this yam with semolina..coat form both the side..roast them on a medium-low flame until u get golden brown colour..keep flipping at regular intervals.
- Serve hot as a side or as an appetizer.
